Project overview
Enersea designed the W-type gangway system in close collaboration with Ampelmann’s engineering department, creating an advanced electric solution tailored for the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) market.
The W-type facilitates efficient personnel and cargo transfers at various heights, enhancing operational flexibility for offshore wind and other sectors requiring walk-to-work solutions. This project builds on Enersea’s prior work with Ampelmann, which includes designs for the A-type and L-type systems.

The W-type has attracted strong interest from offshore wind farm operators due to its smart, modular design and innovative features that improve operational efficiency.
