Electrical system design
Green hydrogen production requires an electrical system that efficiently connects offshore wind generation with the electrolysis process. Enersea engineers the complete electrical system, from the high-voltage power generated by the offshore wind farm to the lower voltage levels required by the hydrogen production equipment.
Our expertise includes system architecture and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wind resource and system efficiency assessments, and Load Flow Analysis for component and cable sizing. Enersea also performs Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies and assesses both off-grid system performance and grid compliance. Electrical equipment integration, platform and room layouts are considered as part of the overall design. By combining these disciplines, Enersea develops integrated electrical systems optimised for safe, stable and efficient offshore hydrogen production.
