Consortium with Enersea takes on full deck spread for N-Sea’s CLV Altera
A consortium formed by Enersea, SCA Cable-Carousels and MacArtney Offshore Wind Solutions, has led to the contract award for the full engineering and delivery of a complete cable installation deck spread for the cable-laying vessel (CLV) Altera, commissioned by N-Sea Group.
The contract is officially awarded to SCA CABLE-CAROUSELS as main contractor, with Enersea and MacArtney Offshore Solutions acting as subcontractors. Together, the consortium forms an integrated team with complementary expertise in fabrication, controls, equipment, and engineering.
Enersea leads the engineering and system integration within the project.
The scope includes the design and integration of:
• a 4,500-tonne carousel,
• a loading tower with integrated tensioner,
• a 15-tonne track deck tensioner,
• a quadrant handling system,
• cable highways, sliding banks, winches, and a retractable cable chute.
Enersea is responsible for the engineering, layout optimisation, and functional integration of the entire deck spread, drawing on its specialist knowledge in subsea cable installation and deck configuration. In addition, Enersea will serve as the technical liaison during the engineering phase, coordinating design activities and supporting N-Sea as the main point of contact for all engineering matters.
The system is scheduled for delivery and mobilisation in Q1 2026 and marks an important step in Enersea’s involvement in complete deck spread solutions for the offshore wind industry.
