DNV certifies Enersea turntable for transit in unrestricted weather

For Dutch/Dubai based SCA Assets LLC (Subsea Cable Assets) and Neptune Shipyards, Enersea has developed a 7000 tons turntable. End client for the turntable is EPCI contractor NPCC (National Petroleum Construction Company) head-quartered in Abu Dhabi, operating a fleet of 22 offshore vessels.

Special about this carousel, designed by Enersea, is the full DNV certification for worldwide transit in unrestricted weather and the first in the world obtaining this classification.

Further, the turntable has a modular design and can be configured for payloads of 2500, 5000 and 7000 tons. In addition, it can be optimised for stacking height and has a minimum bending radius between 4 and 8 meters. The turntable is supplied with a loading tower with tensioners (incl. ATEX approved electric drive system) that match the modular design.
