Neptune Energy and RWE award pipeline concept design in feasibility phase to Enersea for H₂opZee
Consortium partners Neptune Energy & RWE, have awarded Enersea the pipeline concept design for the feasibility phase of their H₂opZee demonstration project.
In H₂opZee, the feasibility of producing green Hydrogen at sea, powered by offshore wind is being investigated. Different scenarios for producing green hydrogen at sea will be explored, including options for transporting the green hydrogen to shore through a pipeline.
Enersea has been contracted as the engineering party to explore different options for either new pipeline infrastructure, or connections to surrounding existing infrastructure, to evacuate future production from the H2opZee development to shore.
Besides pipeline sizing, routing and design, Enersea will also advise on several methodologies and philosophies.
Enersea’s sister company H2SEA has been awarded with the hydrogen platform design and engineering during the feasibility study.
