Your role in the team

As a Structural Engineer, you will design offshore structures that perform safely under the most demanding conditions. From concept development to detailed engineering, you’ll work with colleagues from multiple disciplines to develop practical structural designs for a wide range of offshore projects.

Depending on your experience, you’ll independently manage structural work packages or support senior engineers on larger multidisciplinary projects.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Translate client requirements into a Basis of Design.
  • Define structural arrangements that meet functional, operational and fabrication requirements.
  • Perform structural analyses, including in-place, transport, lifting and fatigue assessments.
  • Prepare and monitor structural weight estimates.
  • Design appurtenances, cathodic protection systems and temporary structures.
  • Prepare and review calculations, reports, drawings and 3D models.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, offshore standards and Enersea’s quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients and project stakeholders throughout the project.

 

Qualifications

You are an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working in a collaborative environment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in offshore structural engineering.
  • Knowledge of offshore design principles, structural analysis methods and applicable design standards.
  • Experience with SACS, ANSYS, RFEM and MathCAD.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Tekla and/or SolidWorks is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Dutch language skills, or willingness to learn Dutch.
  • A proactive attitude, a strong sense of ownership and an eye for quality.
